Ocean Waves
I was inspired by the smell of the sea, the ebb and flow of bluish-green waves against that wide blue sky, and the sound of my niece and nephew laughing as their little toes wriggled in the sand.

Ribbon
The idea came when I started playing with ribbon. I love the playfulness of the satin as it hits your skin. You make a knot and pull; the satin slides out and that smoothness hits you. There is pull and tension, then the knot loosens. That tension is what I want to highlight. It’s like life: sometimes a little tension is exactly what we need to create the pull that moves us forward.

Ivy Necklace
I was inspired by the colors of green ivy and the richness of its different tones of green. I thought it would be lovely to use cabochons and full cuts to give contrast and playfulness.

The main center stone is a cushion green tsavorite, with an array of peridot, tourmaline, and green sapphire, all set in 18k gold. The ivy leaves are in platinum, set in a snow-pavé style.
Cherry Blossom
There is nothing like the long-awaited spring finally arriving, telling New Yorkers to hold on a little longer, the dark grey cold will soon be over. Every spring I welcome the cherry blossoms. Stand still under the tree and the gradation of pink makes the city’s busyness fall away. When the wind blows and the petals drop, you always want to catch one. I treasure that fleeting, soft moment.

Wings
There are a lot of small birds in my neighborhood on my morning walk, and they amuse me. How can two such tiny things carry their bodies up so high? It’s fascinating and amusing. I wanted to capture that: the way they flap their wings, how smoothly they cut through the air, communicating with one another from one tree to the next.

Azalea Ring
I highlighted this project because this ring reminded me that jewelry is not just a fancy object. It marks a couple’s milestone in their life together. The main inspiration is the azaleas surrounding the Masters: a reminder of sweet victory, and of the ups and downs they have walked through together to reach that milestone.

CAD and Rapid Prototype
There is nothing more beautiful than a piece in proportion. One of my favorite things is looking at the clean castings, before we even set any stones. You can see the architecture, the bare skeleton, and the hours of craftsmanship. It is the work of a team, not of one person, and that is cool!

Peacock Feather Secret Watch
I love the curvature of the peacock feather. I wanted to highlight the elegant curves of the feather, but instead of a cool palette I wanted warmth: a peacock-feather bracelet that wraps around the wrist, with a secret watch bursting with color and warmth.
